Action Lists is a task manager and todo list based on the Getting Things Done (GTD) system popularized by David Allen. Action Lists harnesses the power of the GTD system with an easy to use interface that makes it fast to access the information you need when you need it. Your inbox, action lists (or "context lists"), and projects are literally at your fingertips.

Features:

———

- Synchronizes over the air with your Toodledo account. (Register for a free account at http://www.toodledo.com)

- Search your tasks by their title and the content of attached notes.

- Allows you to divide projects into subprojects. A subproject appears as a child of its parent, and there is no limit on how many levels of subprojects can be used.

- Landscape-mode keyboard is available. You can also lock Action Lists into portrait mode for more convenient one handed use.

- Email tasks to others from within Action Lists.

- Schedule future tasks by specifying a start date. Filter these future tasks from view so that you are only presented with the tasks that are relevant to you now. When a scheduled task is due to be started, it will (by default) appear in your Inbox so that it can be processed. This increases the visibility of new tasks and prevents tasks from sliding into your action lists unnoticed. This is a great replacement for a "tickler file."

- Assign a due date to tasks. If a task becomes overdue its due date turns red. The task count badge for any context or project that contains the overdue task also turns red so you know when a list contains an overdue item.

- Individually sort each list alphabetically, by due date, or manually to make it easy to find the information that you need.

- Optionally display badges on the tab bar that show a count of tasks in the inbox, your waiting list, and someday list.

- Create repeating tasks that are automatically created in the future on a schedule that you define.

- Attach text notes to tasks. Email addresses, web addresses, and telephone numbers in these notes are displayed as hyperlinks that can be clicked to open Mail, Safari, or the Phone as appropriate.

- Create tasks from the contents of your iPhone's clipboard/pasteboard. Great for when your spouse emails you a "honey do" list. Just copy the text and have Action Lists parse it into tasks.

What’s New

Version 2.2.0 adds some new features and fixes some bugs. These changes are included in version 2.2.0:

- Add search to all major lists. Just scroll to the top of the list to search.

- Changed task detail display so that when you tap a task's note, it takes you to a screen that parses the note for web addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers and displays them as hyperlinks. When those hyperlinks are tapped, Safari, Mail, or the Phone are opened, as appropriate.

- Action Lists can now turn the contents of your clipboard (or "pasteboard") into tasks. Just copy text that contains the titles of tasks (perhaps from an email you received), click on the lightning bolt to open the Quick Task screen, dismiss the keyboard, and use the button in the toolbar. This feature will turn each line of text in your pasteboard into a separate task.

- Improved the user interface.

- Fixed a bug that offset due dates and start dates when leaving Daylight Savings time.

- Fixed some other minor user interface bugs.
